Selected applicants of the Australia Awards Scholarship 2026 will receive a complete funding package that will cover:

  • Full Tuition Fees: The scholarship will cover tuition fees at any eligible TAFE(technical and further education) institution or Australian university.
  • Return Air Travel: Students will receive a single return, economy-class airfare to and from Australia through the most direct route.
  • Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE): With the amount determined by DFAT, scholars will be given a fortnightly stipend to support a basic living cost in Australia.
  • Establishment Allowance: A single payment is given to students to help them with textbooks, accommodation expenses, and all study materials.
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Students will be given medical insurance coverage for the duration of the scholarship (except for any pre-existing conditions).
  • Pre-course English (PCE) Fees: If required, PCE training is available for students either in their home country or in Australia.
  • Introductory Academic Program (IAP):Students will be offered a mandatory orientation program before starting academic studies, providing essential information about studying and living in Australia.

Australian Award Scholarships Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Australia Award Scholarship you must fulfill the following required criteria:

  • Candidates from eligible countries (primarily from the Indo-Pacific region) should not hold an Australian permanent residency.
  • Students should meet the specific eligibility criteria set by the chosen Australian institution and by their home country.
  • Applicant must show strong ties to their home country’s development
  • Students should be at least 18 years old.
  • Students should satisfy the admission requirements of the TAFE institution or selected institutes.
  • As specified by DFAT the participating university students should meet English language proficiency requirements.
  • The selected student is bound to return to their home country for at least two years after completing their studies otherwise, they will be asked to repay the full cost of the scholarship.
