Aalto University Summer Internship 2024 | Finland

Aalto University is inviting applications for the Aalto Science Institute (AScI) Summer Internship 2024. The program is initiated by Aalto University to promote international collaboration and research in the field of science. The internships are offered for Bachelor and master students belonging to any country. During the internship program interns will have an opportunity to participate in research, Interact with research groups at the institute, and have networking opportunities.

A total of 60 positions are available for internship in multiple departments including the School of Engineering, School of Sciences, School of Chemical Engineering, and School of Electrical Engineering. The applicants are hired for 12 weeks which is the maximum length for the AScI Internship contract.

Students enrolled in the 2nd and 3rd semesters of the undergraduate program in the related fields are encouraged to apply for the Aalto University Summer Internship 2024. Students must have excellent academic records and a good command of the English Language.

Last year almost 1600 applications were received for the program out of which 52 applicants were selected. We encourage all international students who are seeking international internships in the fields of science to apply for the Aalto University Summer Internship and experience the social and cultural activities to enrich their summer experience in Finland.

Internship Location

The internship will take place at Aalto University Otaniemi campus in Espoo, Finland.

Aalto University Internship 2024 dates

• The 12-week internship typically starts from 1 June till 25th August of each year.

Internship Coverage:

• A minimum salary of 1800 €/ month for bachelor’s students and higher for master’s students.
• The stipend is enough to bear living costs and accommodation.
• A Travel Bonus of (400€/800€) for applicants residing inside/outside Europe.
• Access to extensive documentation that includes info on Visa, Housing, and other information regarding living in Finland.

ASci Summer Internship Activities:

• Daily Lunch Gatherings
• Day trips, Social and cultural activities.
• Poster competition in which the interns will present the results of their summer work.

For how many projects can I Apply?

• You can apply for a maximum of 3 projects in order of preference in the application.

Do I need to submit a separate motivation letter for each project?

• No! you need to submit a single motivation letter that shows your enthusiasm for all the projects.

How long should the motivation letter be?

• The motivation letter should not exceed 2 pages.

Can I update my Application after submission?

• Application can not be updated once submitted so take your time to ensure you have entered the correct data.

Can we join the internship remotely?

• No! The physical experience is the Finland requirement.
